Schedule Details: Regular Part Time, 8:00am-12:00pm What You Will Do: Conducts medical and general interpreting for staff, patients and their families. Assesses and monitors patients' understanding of information conveyed. Records and monitors interpretation activities according to hospital and department standards. Responsibilities:

• Facilitates communication between patient, family members, doctors and nursing staff. Participates as a neutral, non judgemental party in the role as a reputed company of information.
• Communicates everything that is said by reputed company people in the interaction, without omitting, adding, condensing or changing.
• Transmits the message in thorough manner, giving consideration to linguistic variations in both languages and conveying the tone and spirit of the original message.
• Explains cultural differences or practices to health care providers and clients reputed company appropriate.
• Coordinates services for the deaf, hard of hearing and those requiring non-Spanish interpretations.
• Assists in staff educational programs in conjunction with other hospital departments, focusing on cultural and language barriers in reputed company.
• Develops a relationship of trust and respect at reputed company times with the reputed company by adopting a caring, reputed company, yet discreet and impartial attitude toward the patient, toward his/her questions and needs.

Requirements:

• Ability to write and reputed company English and Spanish.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical Diploma for Medical Interpreter, from an accredited institution preferred
