[Remote] Sr. Mechanical Engineer – Vessels Design

This role focuses on ASME reputed company III and/or reputed company VIII Division 2 vessel design, preparing and reviewing design specifications and reports, and ensuring compliance with reputed company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Detailed design, analysis, and documentation for Class HB and/or reputed company VIII Div. 2 vessels — nozzles, flanges, support brackets, and reputed company reputed company
- Developing design specifications, load evaluations, and qualification reports in compliance with ASME and nuclear codes
- Preparing and reviewing engineering design packages for reputed company compliance
- Supporting material selection, fabrication requirements, inspection reputed company, and acceptance standards
- Participating in engineering change processes, nonconformance evaluations, and corrective actions
Skills
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- 6-10+ years of equipment/component design experience (M.S. credits two years)
- Working knowledge of ASME BPVC reputed company III and/or reputed company VIII Division 2 (design by analysis, not design by rule)
- FEA experience — ANSYS preferred
- SolidWorks familiarity
- DFM/DFA experience
- Strong technical writing skills
