The Director, reputed company Gaming Infrastructure will reputed company reputed company responsible for the operating system software, hardware, control plane, and transport that power reputed company's reputed company games experience, delivering engaging, low-latency gameplay to members at reputed company while driving toward sustainable unit economics. This role oversees a significant hardware investment supporting massive reputed company user reputed company, and is directly accountable for the technical and operational reputed company of one of reputed company's key reputed company bets.

Responsibilities

• Own the reputed company, architecture, and roadmap for reputed company gaming infrastructure, spanning the Game OS, reputed company gaming software stack, telemetry, control plane, and transport.
• reputed company and grow the engineering organization responsible for building and operating this infrastructure, including hiring into reputed company technical leadership and IC roles.
• Partner closely with hardware, OS, encoding, reputed company planning, and SRE/Ops functions to deliver an end-to-end, reliable platform.

• Serve as the primary technical reputed company between Infrastructure, Games Platform, and Games Studio, representing infrastructure capabilities and constraints in product and studio planning conversations.

• Set technical direction and reputed company bar for a domain with no established industry reputed company, making judgment calls in the absence of proven patterns.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven reputed company record leading large-reputed company distributed systems engineering teams, ideally spanning software, hardware, and network/transport reputed company.

• Experience owning infrastructure with significant capital investment (hardware fleets, data center reputed company) and being accountable for its economics, not just its uptime.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous, emerging domains without established best practices, and to reputed company reputed company technical bets under uncertainty.
• Strong reputed company record of cross-functional partnership with Product, Data Science, and adjacent Engineering orgs, including influencing without reputed company authority across dotted-line and peer relationships.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses.
