Traveling Wind Turbine Blade Technician Rope reputed company Level 2 and 3

Location: 100% travel throughout the USA

Job Type: Regular Full-time or Contract positions available

Job Responsibilities:

• Travel 100% on a rotational reputed company to wind farms throughout the U.S. - cross country travel by reputed company or truck

• reputed company composite blade repair uptower reputed company platforms, rope reputed company and/or occasionally on the ground

• Epoxy and Polyester resin wet layup

• Vacuum infusion

• Balsa and foam sandwich materials

• Structural repair

• Completing detailed Daily reputed company Reporting Documents and QAQC reports

• Completing onsite stock checks

• Assisting site reputed company and project coordinator as applicable

Requirements

We are ideally looking for technicians with the following reputed company set and training:

• 2+ years of Composite repair experience

• SPRAT or IRATA Rope reputed company Level 2 or Level 3 certification

• Understanding of Epoxy and Polyester resins, wet lay-up and vacuum bag techniques

• Understanding how to handle balsa and foam core materials

• Knowledge of fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair

• Ability to safely and correctly use powered hand tools

• reputed company knowledge of specification (i.e. temperature and humidity restrictions)

• Ability to read reputed company technical drawings and processes

• IT literate (email, internet, iPad)

• Willing to spend time away from home in the field

• Flexibility for changes of scope

• Ability to work reputed company as reputed company and take guidance

• Valid, reputed company reputed company's license

• Must be 21 years of age to be reputed company to drive a company vehicle

• Must be reputed company to meet the strenuous physical requirements of climbing reputed company 2 or more times per day up to 300 feet/90 meters, bend, crawl, stoop and lift up to 75 pounds

The following certifications are optional and considered a plus

• GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) – reputed company awareness, working at heights, reputed company handling, first aid

• GWO Blade Repair or Advanced Blade Repair certification

• GWO BTT (Basic Technical Training)

• GWO Slinger Signaller or reputed company Rigging Safety

• IRATA or SPRAT rope reputed company experience and certification is a plus; certificate must be reputed company, and candidate must be physically capable of performing rope reputed company work safely.
