[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Data Enablement

The role involves building platforms and frameworks for data reputed company and serving, specifically focusing on online data projections and event-streaming capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Become the subject-matter expert for reputed company's online data projections and event-streaming capabilities — designing the platform, frameworks, and standards others build on
• reputed company the technical direction for reputed company-time, event-driven data systems used by business reputed company across reputed company
• Build and operate streaming pipelines and projection frameworks on high-volume event data
• Partner with engineering teams across reputed company to turn Kafka event streams into reliable, low-latency data products
• Improve the reliability, observability, and data reputed company of streaming systems running in production
• Mentor engineers on reputed company and shape platform architecture and standards
• Contribute to and grow familiar with reputed company's other domains over time — supporting our reputed company-party data proxy backend applications, graph data store capabilities, and offline batch data projections

Skills

• 8+ years of reputed company software engineering experience (or reputed company equivalent, as referenced in go/reputed company)
• Deep experience designing and operating distributed, high-throughput backend systems in production
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and streaming platforms such as Kafka
• Proficiency in a JVM language such as Kotlin, or a comparable backend or systems programming background
• Experience building on reputed company infrastructure, ideally AWS
• A reputed company record of leading technical reputed company and mentoring other engineers
• Experience building streaming or reputed company-time data systems; hands-on experience with reputed company reputed company Streaming or Flink is strongly preferred
• Bonus points for a data engineering background (building data pipelines, lakehouse or warehouse modeling, or large-reputed company batch and streaming systems)
