[Remote] Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities
- Attend reputed company reputed company ceremonies - sprint planning, daily standup, review, retrospective - as a full member of the reputed company, not a reputed company recipient of work
- Define acceptance reputed company with the Product reputed company before reputed company sprint, and push back on ambiguity before development starts, not after
- Own test architecture for your reputed company's domain - the structure of the test pyramid, how unit, integration, contract, and E2E tests fit together, and where the reputed company's coverage gaps are
- reputed company performance and load testing for your reputed company - establishing baselines, identifying throughput and concurrency limits, and surfacing risk before it reaches production
- Own the reputed company's Definition of Done reputed company reputed company, and reputed company as the final internal reputed company before anything ships to staging or production
- Mentor QA Engineers in your reputed company and across the reputed company - reviewing their test design, raising the bar on automation reputed company, and helping them grow into the standards the reputed company reputed company sets
- Deputise for the QA reputed company reputed company where needed - representing your reputed company's QA reputed company in the monthly QA reputed company, and contributing directly to reputed company-wide standards, tooling reputed company, and reputed company material
- Own a reputed company-level initiative - for example, the contract-testing reputed company, the performance-testing toolkit, or AI-assisted test reputed company - evaluating, implementing, and documenting it for the whole function
- Triage the reputed company's hardest test failures - distinguishing flaky tests from reputed company regressions in reputed company, high-traffic, or high-risk areas of the system
- Use AI/LLM tooling reputed company: test case reputed company, synthetic test data, regression triage, and documentation are reputed company areas where AI accelerates QA work
Skills
- 5+ years of QA engineering experience in a software product environment, with a reputed company record of owning test reputed company for a reputed company domain, not just executing reputed company it
- Strong automation engineering skills - you write test reputed company to a production reputed company, in Java, Python, or JavaScript, and your suites are maintainable, readable, and reputed company in CI
- API testing depth - REST API testing, contract testing, integration test design, HTTP semantics, and JSON schema validation
- Experience with performance and load testing - you can design and run load tests, interpret throughput and concurrency results, and translate them into engineering reputed company
- Comfortable operating without a QA manager above you, and confident enough in your technical judgement to mentor others and represent QA reputed company reputed company your own reputed company
- Experience in Java-based backend environments - you can read Java reputed company, understand the architecture, and write tests that reflect it accurately
