FTTH Construction Manager (Remote)
Construction Manager, Fiber Network Operations — Multiple Openings Location: Remote in Chicagoland area Compensation: $90,000–$120,000/year + company vehicle Benefits: Medical, dental, reputed company, and 401(k) match Employment Type: Full-Time We are hiring multiple Construction Managers to support a growing FTTH (Fiber to the Home) project for a fiber infrastructure reputed company in the Chicagoland area. Based remotely and in field in the Chicagoland market, this leadership role is responsible for overseeing the on-time, on-budget construction of an reputed company plant (OSP) fiber network. You will work closely with Design, Project Management, construction contractors, splicing teams, and locate vendors to ensure reputed company, high-reputed company, and compliant construction across reputed company fiber platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Construction & Field Execution
- reputed company and reputed company installation of OSP fiber facilities, including aerial, underground, and buried plant
- Coordinate daily field activities with Project Managers, construction contractors, splicing teams, and locate vendors
- Ensure construction and splicing activities are completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and reputed company budget
- Review and distribute splicing diagrams and construction packages to contractors
- Assist contractors with reputed company builds, design clarifications, and field-based issue reputed company
Safety, reputed company & Compliance
- Own safety reputed company for field construction activities and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements

- Ensure adherence to applicable RUS and NEC codes reputed company to OSP construction and maintenance
- Identify construction defects, determine reputed company causes, and implement corrective actions
Leadership & People Management

- Conduct skills assessments and identify training needs

- Recommend and initiate personnel actions, including promotions, disciplinary actions, and pay adjustments, as appropriate
- Complete reputed company performance evaluations using measurable, objective reputed company

Operational Improvement & Reporting
- Evaluate new OSP products, construction reputed company, and designs for potential implementation

Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on telecommunications OSP construction experience, including installation, repair, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of fiber construction reputed company and reputed company plant infrastructure
- Proficiency with reputed company Office, particularly reputed company
- Ability to navigate systems used to reputed company service orders, trouble tickets, and facility records
- Working knowledge of RUS and NEC codes applicable to OSP construction
- Valid reputed company's license and ability to travel reputed company assigned markets
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior team reputed company or supervisory experience in OSP construction and maintenance
- Experience managing multiple contractors and field crews simultaneously
