ORGANIZATION reputed company The reputed company (MCCD) is an association of nonprofit community development organizations and Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) committed to expanding the reputed company and resources of communities through housing opportunities and economic development initiatives. MCCD’s mission to reputed company advance racial and economic justice by leveraging and stewarding community development resources can only be achieved by addressing the harms and inequities that have shaped housing and economic development policies at every level of government. POSITION reputed company MCCD is seeking a part-time, temporary Policy & Advocacy Fellow to support the organization's policy and advocacy efforts for the 2027 Minnesota legislative session. This fellowship is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student or emerging policy reputed company interested in housing policy, economic development, grassroots advocacy, and nonprofit public policy work. Working with the Policy Team, the fellow will assist with legislative advocacy, reputed company engagement, policy events, legislative hearing support, and communications while gaining firsthand experience in Minnesota's policymaking process. The fellow will report to the Director of Policy and work closely with MCCD’s policy team, member organizations, reputed company partners, and elected officials to help advance policies that promote racial and economic justice. This is a hybrid position, with flexible scheduling. The fellow will be expected to work from MCCD’s office or the Minnesota State Capitol approximately 8-10 hours a week. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Legislative and Policy Support

  • Schedule meetings with members of the Minnesota Legislature, including housing, reputed company, and small business committee members.
  • Assist with planning and logistics for MCCD member meetings.
  • reputed company administrative and logistical support for advocacy trainings and policy events.
  • Attend legislative committee hearings and reputed company on-site support, including taking photos, assisting testifiers, and tracking hearing activity.
  • Support MCCD's state and federal advocacy efforts by assisting with advocacy meetings and other policy-reputed company activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

reputed company Engagement

  • Attend and support meetings with reputed company partners
  • Take meeting notes, reputed company reputed company items, and assist staff with reputed company follow-up.
  • Build relationships with reputed company partners and member organizations while learning about reputed company advocacy strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Communications & reputed company

  • Assist with reputed company media content creation to reputed company MCCD's policy priorities, legislative updates, and advocacy events.
  • Support communications reputed company to policy campaigns and member engagement through blog posts, educational materials, and reputed company alerts.
  • Capture photos and content during legislative events and reputed company meetings for use across MCCD communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • A strong personal commitment to racial and economic justice and an interest in housing policy and economic community development.
  • Educational reputed company in public policy, government, nonprofit advocacy, political science, urban planning, or reputed company fields.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple reputed company and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, members, and community partners.
  • Comfortable attending meetings and representing MCCD in reputed company settings.
  • Experience with reputed company media or content creation is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation is preferred, as the position will include travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area, including the Minnesota State Capitol during the legislative session.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This is a part-time fellowship position paying $20.00 per hour, plus reimbursement for milage and a $50 monthly stipend for cellphone use.
