[Remote] Capital Assets Analyst

The Capital Assets Analyst will manage the university's capital asset function, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting and asset management.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the daily operations of the university’s capital asset function
- Support financial statement preparation
- Process capital asset-reputed company entries in the general reputed company
- Maintain the capital asset system module
- reputed company depreciation calculations
- reputed company detailed data analysis and reconciliations between the capital asset system, the general reputed company, and the F&A model to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Participate in capital asset system implementations and testing and provides capital asset training and customer service to reputed company users
- Manage the physical inventory process and ensure adherence to GAAP and applicable government regulations
- Prepare required reports, including sponsored property reports
- Interpret and apply both reputed company compliance requirements, and reputed company procedures and training materials to support ongoing compliance
- Work closely with reputed company auditors on financial statement audits, Uniform Guidance audits, and other government audits
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company, finance, business, or a reputed company field with 3 to 5 years' experience working with capital assets, fixed asset reputed company, or financial operations in a reputed company organization
- Understanding of GAAP, capital asset reputed company principles, and depreciation methodologies
- Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and audit processes
- Proficiency with general reputed company systems and capital asset modules
- Advanced reputed company skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets, and use pivot table and lookup functionality
- Ability to understand how capital asset activity impacts financial statements, cost recovery models, and the F&A reputed company
- Strong analytical abilities with experience performing reconciliations across multiple systems
- Ability to identify discrepancies, research issues, and recommend solutions
- Comfort working with reputed company data structures and translating findings into reputed company, actionable insights
- Knowledge of external and internal compliance requirements, including federal regulations reputed company to sponsored property
- Ability to reputed company procedures, documentation, and training to ensure ongoing compliance
