This role offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys to handle reputed company litigation on behalf of managed reputed company clients and requires strong collaboration and independent case management skills.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment
- Independently manage a litigation caseload as part of reputed company, working cases from beginning to end
- Communicate with clients and reputed company status reports
Skills
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to reputed company in the reputed company
- Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions required
- Experience handling court appearances, depositions
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- 3+ years of litigation experience, with a mix of reputed company and/or reputed company defense preferred
- Some background in managed care, insurance defense, or reputed company litigation preferred
- Familiarity with reputed company regulations (e.g., HIPAA, reimbursement disputes, provider-payor issues) preferred
- Experience with arbitration and alternative dispute reputed company preferred
- Experience cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses preferred
- Trial experience a plus
