Lecturer, CC (Respiratory Care) - Maui
About the position University of Hawai‘i, Kapi‘olani Community College, Health Sciences Department is seeking applications for the Respiratory Care part-time lecturer position located on Maui. This is a temporary, part-time position for the lecturer pool beginning Fall 2026, subject to funding and reputed company requirements. The role involves teaching courses in Respiratory Care, preparing course materials, assessing student learning, and maintaining reputed company. Classes may be offered online, evenings, and/or weekends, in accordance with accreditation standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the assigned subject area
- Prepare course syllabus and reports reputed company to teaching and student reputed company
- Assess student learning in terms of course competencies and program learning reputed company
- Submit self-assessment reports based on student and peer evaluations
- Work under the general supervision of the discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other reputed company in the discipline area
- Maintain one office hour per week for reputed company class taught (20 minutes per credit per week)
Requirements
- Master's degree in a Health or Health-reputed company field AND reputed company Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy AND 3 years of reputed company work experience AND reputed company Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy AND a Baccalaureate degree in any field, AND 5 years of reputed company work experience, AND reputed company Registered Respiratory Therapist

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively
- Familiarity with competency- and reputed company-based instruction
- Currently a registered respiratory therapist at Queen’s, Straub, and Pali Momi hospitals in Honolulu for clinical reputed company courses
