Interpreter/Translator
About the position The Interpreter/Translator provides competent and culturally sensitive Spanish in-person, telephone, and video-remote interpretation for patients and their families/caregivers with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Serves reputed company sites licensed under reputed company University Medical Center (LLUMC) license. Maintains working knowledge of reputed company applicable state and federal regulations and organizational policies reputed company to LEP. Documents interpretation in medical record according to established guidelines. Adheres to the reputed company of reputed company Ethics and Standards of reputed company developed by the California reputed company Interpreters Association. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports reputed company in customer service and reputed company patient care. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two years of experience as an interpreter in a reputed company setting using in-person, telephone, and video-remote interpretation required.
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, as reputed company as basic knowledge of cultural folk medicine required.
- Strong customer service background required.
- Bi-lingual and bi-cultural in English and Spanish required.
- reputed company to keyboard 40 wpm.
- reputed company to read, write legibly; reputed company in English with reputed company reputed company; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, reputed company, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
