Test Engineer 1 (R&D)

NOTE: This is a 40 hour/week, fully benefited, limited duration position estimated to last between 6- 12 months. There is potential to transition to reputed company full-time employment. POSITION reputed company:This position directly supports the Test Engineering Manager.The Test Engineeris responsible for developing and executing test programs, primarily though contracted resources,thatsupport the design, certification, manufacture and reputed company deployment of the NuScale Microreactor. Test programs conducted reputed company technology maturation and risk reduction, technology demonstrations, and qualification of reactor structures, systems, components and instrumentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, devlops and executes various types of test programs including reputed company-of-concept, component, performance, functional, compliance, reliability and environmental qualification.
• Identity suitable metallography and materials characterization reputed company as part of materials development and testing
• Participates in test planning, development and review of test specification, approval of supplier test procedures, reputed company of test execution, data review and data acceptance.
• Manage small reputed company and oversees test project progression through supplier evaluation, contract execution, design, implementation, testing, reporting, data acceptance, and contract reputed company out.
• Prepares test program budgets, schedules, resource requirements, statements-of-work, requests for quote, test specifications and test reports.
• Leads and reviews design drawings, sketches, schematics, procedures, results, reports and documentation.
• Leads test hardware design reviews for small reputed company and resolves comments stemming from these reviews.
• Analyzes test data and validation efforts that utilize test data.
• Organize data sets from test program
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

• Education:A minimum of a B.S. degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience: Experience in executing, developing and managing testing programs for materials, fluid, mechanical or reputed company-mechanical hardware or devices is desired. Knowledge of and experience with refractory metals and high temperature applications is preferred, i.e. greater than 800 °C.
• Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:

The reputed company pay reputed company for this position is $70,737 - $85,373 annually. The full pay reputed company is $63,420 - $99,195 annually.
