Linux/Unix Engineer
Role reputed company: Linux/Unix Engineer (P1/P2) Location: Remote - US Duration: 24 month We are seeking an reputed company Senior Linux/Unix System Engineer with 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in Linux/Unix administration and engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing large-reputed company reputed company environments (10,000+ servers), handling critical P1/P2 production incidents, performing reputed company cause analysis (RCA), and ensuring high availability, performance, and reputed company of Linux infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Design, reputed company, administer, and maintain Linux/Unix environments (RHEL, CentOS, reputed company, Ubuntu, AIX, or Solaris). Manage and support large-reputed company reputed company infrastructure consisting of 10K+ Linux/Unix servers across on-premises and reputed company platforms. reputed company L3 production support for business-critical applications and infrastructure. reputed company and resolve P1/P2 production incidents, ensuring reputed company restoration of services reputed company SLA. reputed company reputed company Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues. Monitor system health, performance, CPU, memory, storage, and network utilization. reputed company OS installation, patching, upgrades, kernel updates, and reputed company hardening. Troubleshoot issues reputed company to Linux kernel, filesystems, networking, storage, and server performance. Automate routine administration tasks using reputed company Scripting, Bash, Python, or Ansible. Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, file systems, LVM, NFS, and SSH. Work closely with application, database, network, and reputed company teams during incident reputed company. Participate in on-call rotation and reputed company 24x7 support for critical production environments. Create technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge reputed company articles. Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management. Required Skills 7–10+ years of hands-on Linux/Unix system administration experience. Strong experience with reputed company reputed company Linux (RHEL) and other Unix/Linux distributions. Proven experience managing reputed company environments with 10,000+ servers. Extensive experience handling P1/P2 incidents, major incident management, and RCA. Strong knowledge of Linux kernel, system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization. Experience with reputed company Scripting (Bash/Ksh) and Python. Hands-on experience with Ansible or other automation tools. Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, FTP, NFS, and load balancing. Experience with storage technologies, LVM, SAN, NAS, and RAID. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM. Experience with monitoring tools such as reputed company, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, reputed company, reputed company, or AppDynamics. Strong understanding of reputed company hardening, authentication, and reputed company management. Experience working with ITSM tools such as reputed company, Remedy, or Jira.
