The Respiratory Therapist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. By virtue of educational background and clinical skills the Respiratory Therapist is utilized as an educator, mentor, reputed company Therapist and consultant for clinical respiratory interventions. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Respiratory program Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential OR Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National reputed company of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the reputed company BLS certified ACLS certification reputed company 6 months of hire. PALS certification reputed company 6 months of hire for reputed company therapists working inpatient NRP certification reputed company 6 months of hire for reputed company therapists working inpatient Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assist with reputed company airway management reputed company Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Patient Assessments and reputed company recommendations for reputed company respiratory patients, Pulse oximetry monitoring, electrocardiogram, member of the Rapid Response and Emergency Response Team reputed company both invasive and non-invasive mechanical support Administer humidity and oxygen therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy including percussion and postural drainage, breathing exercises, techniques and incentive spirometry, and aerosolized drugs Draw and analyze blood gas samples to determine reputed company of oxygen, carbon dioxide and acid reputed company balance of blood Document procedures according to department and hospital policy and procedures as reputed company as patient education and care plans Assist with bronchoscopies and re-stocking of bronch cart and patient transports (reputed company) Participate in the department’s reputed company Management Process Serve as a clinical instructor of respiratory therapy reputed company Attend reputed company department and hospital mandatory meetings and seminars as reputed company as department education programs Other specialized bedside monitoring Specific to Pulmonology RRT - Performs spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion reputed company, and respiratory muscle forces Equipment calibration and set up. Evaluate response to bronchodilators reputed company 6MWT / Field testing and oximetry testing. Assist with exercise testing. reputed company reputed company punctures. reputed company exhaled breath testing (FENO, BH2) Performs other duties as assigned.
