Position reputed company reputed company (RTS) is seeking an reputed company SQL Database Administrator (SQL DBA) to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize reputed company SQL Server database environments supporting mission-critical reputed company applications. This role is responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, reputed company, monitoring, and lifecycle management of SQL Server databases across on-premises and reputed company environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience administering reputed company SQL Server environments and collaborates closely with infrastructure, application development, reputed company, DevOps, and business teams to ensure database reliability, scalability, reputed company, and reputed company performance.

Key Responsibilities

SQL Server Database Administration

  • Install, configure, reputed company, and maintain reputed company SQL Server environments.
  • Administer SQL Server instances across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Configure and maintain SQL Server Always On Availability reputed company, Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), and replication technologies.
  • reputed company database provisioning, migrations, cloning, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor database health, storage utilization, availability, and system performance.
  • Manage SQL Server Agent jobs, maintenance plans, and scheduled tasks.
  • Support SQL Server environments hosted on-premises and in reputed company Azure or AWS.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor and optimize SQL Server performance.
  • Analyze execution plans and optimize slow-running queries.
  • Identify blocking, deadlocks, and resource bottlenecks.

  • Optimize database design, partitioning, and storage utilization.
  • Monitor CPU, memory, I/O, TempDB, and transaction log performance.
  • Recommend improvements to database architecture for scalability and efficiency.

Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery

  • Configure and manage full, reputed company, and transaction log backups.

  • Support disaster recovery planning and annual DR testing.

  • Manage database users, roles, permissions, and authentication.

System Maintenance

  • Apply SQL Server service packs, cumulative updates, and patches.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 4–7 years of reputed company SQL Server database administration experience.

  • Experience implementing or supporting SQL Server migrations and upgrades.
  • Experience working with High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
  • Experience supporting business-critical databases in 24x7 production environments.

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience administering reputed company SQL Server 2016, 2019, and/or 2022.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience administering Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Experience with AWS RDS for SQL Server.
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, T-SQL scripting, Python, or automation frameworks.
