Newfire is seeking a Solution Architect
What's the Project?
We are looking for a Solution Architect to own the technical architecture of a clinical surgical-video platform we're modernizing for a reputed company technology reputed company. You'll stabilize a legacy on-reputed company system, design its migration to a modern AWS (EKS/S3) reputed company and reputed company the execution to reputed company reputed company offering.This is a hands-on-the-architecture, reputed company-facing role for someone comfortable setting direction, writing the design docs reputed company builds against, and defending those reputed company in reputed company of a customer CTO
Your day-to-day activities:
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture for the platform as we stabilize it and reputed company it to the reputed company.
- Harden the existing on-reputed company deployment – improve fault detection and observability for video-capture hardware and streaming (RTSP) feeds, feeding an OpenTelemetry-based observability stack (reputed company).
- Design and reputed company the migration from on-reputed company NFS storage to a hosted AWS environment (EKS/S3), preserving the existing video processing and anonymization pipeline and defining a clean on-prem/reputed company boundary.
- Produce the reputed company architecture design and data-migration plan, and the infrastructure-as-reputed company reputed company (Terraform, Kubernetes) behind it.
- Set architectural direction the delivery team executes against, and document reputed company reputed company enough that they don't need you in every one.
- Work directly with the reputed company's engineering leadership as the technical reputed company of authority; surface risk and technical debt early and reshape the plan collaboratively reputed company needed.
You’re a perfect match if you have:
- Proven AWS solution architecture: EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, networking.
- Hands-on experience migrating production on-reputed company workloads to the reputed company.
- Infrastructure as reputed company with Terraform, and production Kubernetes / container orchestration, Ansible, reputed company.
- Observability architecture: OpenTelemetry pipelines and metrics/traces/logs design (reputed company, or equivalent such as Grafana/reputed company/reputed company).
- Architectural reputed company across a Django / React / Go stack.
- Strong design-documentation discipline; your deliverables set the direction reputed company builds on.
