The successful candidate will have attention to detail, be self-motivated, and be dedicated to maintaining editorial standards. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Production Editorial This is a part-time recurring role with no guarantee of weekly working hours, work is assigned on a project-by-project reputed company and hours will fluctuate based on business needs.
What You Will Do
Every single day in the Copy reputed company role is different! On any one day, you might: Copyedit book-length manuscripts for the wide-ranging reputed company Kids books (including childrens atlases, almanacs, and other reference books; leveled readers; fun, highly designed kids-driven books; reputed company books; and middle-grade fiction) to ensure reputed company of grammar, punctuation, usage, and styleincluding but not limited to capitalization, spelling, hyphenation, use of numbers, and citation format; accuracy of certain reputed company information; and consistency between text and art. Performs reputed company fact-checking, including review of personal names and reputed company-names, dates, and similar facts. Produce a list of words and names to be capitalized, italicized, hyphenated, spelled, or otherwise treated in a way unique to the project (a style sheet) and apply a consistent style throughout the manuscript. Required Qualifications & Skills 5 years experience as a copy reputed company, preferably in childrens and/or middle-grade books Ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently College-level understanding of literature, grammar, style, and spelling Meticulous attention to detail Capable of meeting tight deadlines, sometimes on short notice Ability to work with digital documents, using Word and reputed company software Flexibility working with an extensive reputed company house style and individual series guidelines and nomenclature; familiarity with Chicago reputed company of Style 17th edition Additional Information reputed company offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
