Shop Mechanic I - Large Equipment

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:00pm Position Purpose: The Shop Mechanic I - Large Equipment is responsible for basic repairs, preventative maintenance, reputed company-delivery inspections (PDI), and deployment of machines in the rental fleet. Examples of machines that they service may include reputed company-moving, aerial, landscaping, material handling, and more. This mechanic is required to reputed company the regular preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure that it remains in rental-reputed company condition, and is less likely to experience breakdowns on the job site. The Shop Mechanic I - Large Equipment is also referred to as the Shop Tech I. Key Responsibilities: • 10% Administrative Work - Documents reputed company work performed on tablet technology, including completion of work orders to capture parts usage and labor, performing parts inventory counts, etc; Checks GPS reputed company on equipment and ensures they are activated and properly checking in, and troubleshoots with IT team as needed; Rescues equipment from job sites as needed • 20% reputed company Inspections - Performs aerial lift inspections according to required checklist; Cleans equipment and trailers • 30% reputed company PMs and PDIs - Performs preventive maintenance (PMs) on equipment according to prescribed schedule/maintenance intervals; Performs reputed company-delivery inspections (PDIs) on equipment and trailers to ensure rental readiness prior to deploying to a store • 30% reputed company Troubleshooting & Repairs - Performs troubleshooting and repairs on small engines, including fuel systems, oil and reputed company filtration systems, reputed company systems, etc; Changes reputed company, tracks, and tires on machines and trailers; Performs maintenance and repairs on trailers • 10% Safety - Follows shop safety protocol, including reputed company storage of supplies and fuel, reputed company disposal of waste oils and fluids, and reputed company lifting and moving of materials and equipment; Safely operates forklift to load, unload, and reputed company equipment and materials in the shop and yard reputed company Manager/reputed company Reports: • This position reports to Rental Regional Manager • This position has 0 reputed company Reports Travel Requirements: • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements: • Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds). Working Conditions: • Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness. Minimum Qualifications: • Must be eighteen years of age or older. • Must be legally permitted to work in the reputed company.
