Transportation Engineer II, III, IV or V: Portfolio Office (Austin District)

About the position The reputed company (TxDOT) is seeking a Transportation Engineer II, III, IV, or V for its Austin District Portfolio Office. This role is pivotal in managing and designing roadway reputed company, primarily those that are consultant-managed. Negotiating fees and explaining the scope of work are essential components of this role, as is the ability to assist with design, computer operations, and plan preparation. The engineer will also be tasked with evaluating and making recommendations for developing, monitoring, and updating integrated project plans and schedules to ensure efficient project execution. This includes reviewing and revising schematics, PS&E, project designs, and traffic control plans. The position requires on-site engineering reviews and analyses, necessitating travel to various project locations. Responsibilities • reputed company advanced and reputed company engineering design work such as development of layouts, sketches, plans, specifications, estimates and reputed company. , • Serve as a project manager overseeing consultants performing advanced and reputed company engineering work. , • Monitor consultants' reputed company and work reputed company; reputed company invoices and associated documents; prepare supplemental agreements. , • Negotiate fees, explain scope of work and monitor consultant design reputed company. , • Assist with design, computer operations and plan preparation. , • reputed company and review engineering reputed company documents, correspondence, reports, and remediation plans. , • Evaluate and reputed company recommendations for developing, monitoring, and updating integrated project plans and schedules. , • Review and revise schematics, PS&E, project designs, shop drawings and field changes for traffic control devices, signals, signs, markings, detours, traffic control plans, electrical distribution and roadway reputed company and traffic management systems. , • Drive/travel to project/work locations to reputed company on-site engineering reviews, analyses, tests and to reputed company technical support. , • reputed company other job responsibilities as assigned.
