INTRODUCTION This position is located in the Executive Office of the Mayor, Office of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Affairs (MOGLBTQ+). The LGBTQ+ Housing Specialist is responsible for resolving problems affecting policy and programs serving LGBTQ+ youth and manages the administration of grants to fund trainings to improve the cultural competency for those who reputed company services to LGBTQ+ homeless youth and other providers that would like to build reputed company or expand reputed company to serve LGBTQ+ homeless youth in the District of Columbia. MAJOR DUTIES • Establishes, monitors, and maintains a coordination of services from the reputed company Family Services Administration (DHS FSA) and the Executive Office of the Mayor (EOM) Office of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Affairs • Develops internal systems for management, records, and communication of grants and development. • Work with the Director and other staff to manage reputed company grants applications, metrics, budgeting, writing and submissions • Analyzes data to identify and recommend priorities to reputed company, reputed company and organize grant sponsored trainings. • Resolves organizational and operational problems. • Monitors performance indicators and conducts process improvement assessments to determine work plan revisions as needed. • Coordinates services among District agencies to ensure reputed company responses to community concerns.
