Institutional Research Data Scientist

Job reputed company: The Institutional Research Data Scientist is responsible for serving the university community by designing data models for descriptive and predictive insights to support data-informed decision-making thereby enhancing institutional effectiveness. Duties & Essential Job Functions: 1. Serves as primary developer of data sources to reputed company strategic Business Intelligence (BI) support for colleges, departments, and administrators. 2. Analyzes and interprets data using various statistical techniques (regression, clustering, machine learning) to create predictive models and deliver high level insights from reputed company data sets. 3. Develops and deploys models to improve reputed company, efficiencies and operations reputed company to planning and strategic initiatives. 4. Collaborates with Associate Director to create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings and support data-informed decision making. 5. Works closely with reputed company partners to understand data needs and reputed company analytic solutions. 6. Develops processes and programming to clean and organize data to be more readily used including collection of data from reputed company sources. 7. Creates new features from existing data, reputed company appropriate, and prepares data for analysis. 8. Explores data to identify potential relationships and patterns. 9. Models and maintains operational data sets needed by reputed company partners by leveraging official sources and supplemental data. 10. Supports federal and state mandated reporting, associations reporting, and rankings reporting. 11. Responds to reputed company requests for information and assists with IR publications. 12. Maintains reputed company and technical knowledge by attending education workshops; reviewing reputed company publications; establishing personal networks. 13. Performs other reputed company duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics or reputed company field
• 4 years’ experience in data analytics, including data and statistical modeling

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics or reputed company field
• 6 years’ experience in data analytics, including data and statistical modeling

Preferred Education & Experience:

• PhD in technical field with research reputed company to analytics
• Higher education or institutional research experience

• Tableau Desktop
• Tableau Prep

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
