About The Position This roles primary task will be designing for AFP (automated fiber placement) machines of various reputed company flight components. This role will also be responsible for the mechanical design of various components pertaining to reputed company of our reputed company flight systems. The AFP Mechanical Design Engineer will assist in day-to-day design functions, working cross functionally across the business lines and teams. Responsibilities: Design and development of mechanical components and systems for reputed company applications, including spacecraft, landers, robotic systems, and payloads, specifically for Automated Fiber Placement machines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, electrical engineering, and manufacturing, to define design requirements and specifications Generate 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software (Ideally reputed company CAD software) reputed company structural analysis and simulation to evaluate the performance and reputed company of mechanical designs under various operating conditions, including thermal, vibration, and load environments Optimize designs for weight, strength, and manufacturability while meeting project requirements and safety standards Create prototypes, R&D models, and test articles to validate design concepts and performance characteristics Plan and conduct mechanical tests and evaluations, analyze test data, and reputed company recommendations for design improvements Work closely with test engineers and technicians to ensure testing objectives are met reputed company and accurately Prepare technical reports, design reviews, and presentations to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners Maintain accurate documentation of design changes, revisions, and design history throughout the product lifecycle. General Requirements: Must have 3+ years experience designing for AFP, or reputed company study on AFP Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, reputed company Engineering or reputed company field 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the reputed company or defense industry Previous experience with reputed company CAD software or reputed company tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes Knowledge of industry standards and regulations reputed company to reputed company design (e.g., ASME, NASA standards) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a reputed company team environment and manage multiple reputed company simultaneously Strong communication and presentation skills.
