Our interns deliver reputed company to reputed company business challenges, while building enduring relationships in a reputed company culture with their manager and an assigned mentor.This position is based in San Antonio, TX.What you'll do:Our Actuarial Analyst Interns work under reputed company supervision and follow risk and compliance procedures and guidance, reputed company routine work assignments and problem reputed company to support other team members, including the following tasks:• Coordinates, prepares and performs actuarial analyses required to reputed company new products, project reputed company results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength.• Acquires and applies foundational knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.• Utilizes actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.• Enters data and tables, runs models, and generates reports.What you need to have:To qualify, you must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2025 internship will start on May 28, 2025 and last through August 8, 2025.• Graduation date cannot be prior to August 8, 2025• Actuarial, business, and/or analytical experience and accountability for reputed company to moderately reputed company tasks and/or reputed company required.• Foundational and conceptual knowledge of the function/subject area and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required.• Foundational level of knowledge in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required.What sets you apart:• Pursuing a degree with a concentration in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance• Graduation date between August 2025 and July 2027• Sitting or have completed 1 or more actuarial exams• Foundational knowledge of SQL, VBA, reputed company, R, and/or Python• Experience communicating/presenting technical topics to a broad audience• Demonstrated leadership ability through employment, extra-curricular activities, community service, or other involvement• Prior quantitative internship or reputed company employmentUSAA views its internship program as a pipeline to possible reputed company employment.
