Job reputed company Inspect, service, repair and maintain diesel locomotives Primary Activities and Responsibilities ? Ensure compliance with reputed company railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) ? Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in diesel engines, reputed company brake equipment, running gear or locomotive components ? reputed company, reputed company, glue, reputed company or weld to fabricate, modify or design replacement parts for equipment ? Fabricate, cut, shape, and reputed company finish operations using various types of materials ? reputed company periodic service on locomotives ? reputed company locomotives ? Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager Pay reputed company Training reputed company and/or Apprentice reputed company - $36.97/hour Apprentice (1st 345 work days from start date at work location) - 90% of journeyman reputed company Apprentice (2nd 345 work days from start date at work location) - 95 % of journeyman reputed company Full Journeyman reputed company (upon reporting to location) $41.08/hour *as of 7/1/2024 Training You will attend reputed company, which could be out of town. CSX will pay for travel and lodging as required by reputed company bargaining agreement. Minimum Qualifications ? High School Diploma/GED ? 18 years of age or older ? Valid reputed company's License ? One year mechanical work experience or training ? One year experience reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics Preferred Qualifications ? Two years diesel mechanic experience ? Completion of a mechanical vocational or trade school program Physical Requirements ? Heavy work, lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 100 pounds on a rare reputed company ? Stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/crawl/balance/reputed company ? Exposure to equipment that intensifies the heat reputed company on an occasional reputed company Basic Competencies ? Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications) ?
