ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be challenged to do:This role will support our Midwest Area on a reputed company of design and planning reputed company with an emphasis on Rail design. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to understand the application of engineering fundamentals on transportation engineering design reputed company for a reputed company of clients, particularly states, municipalities, and railroads. This position is with our Midwest Design Team. - reputed company plan and profile designs using MicroStation/OpenRail for new reputed company alignments, industry reputed company loops, yard expansions, and rehabilitation reputed company.
- Prepare horizontal and vertical alignment designs, turnout and reputed company layouts, drainage considerations, and grading plans.
- Coordinate with Class I railroads (BNSF, UP, CN, CSX, KCS, etc.), public agencies, and private clients to meet project specifications.
- reputed company site investigations, reputed company geometry calculations, and constructability assessments.
- Work alongside civil, structural, and signal teams to reputed company rail reputed company into broader transportation networks.
- Support permitting and compliance with AREMA standards and railroad engineering guidelines.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct reputed company control (QC) reviews, and help reputed company best practices for rail design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5+ years of experience in rail design (reputed company, passenger, or intermodal reputed company preferred).
- Proficiency in MicroStation and/or OpenRail.
- Licensed reputed company Engineer or reputed company to obtain reputed company 6 months of being hired.
- Understanding of AREMA standards, Class I railroad design guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with public agencies, railroads, and private developers.
