The Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacist in providing reputed company and appropriate pharmacy services to patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of Specialty Pharmacy, the state’s reputed company standards, and other regulatory entities. The Pharmacy Technician works under the reputed company supervision of a licensed pharmacist and assists in the dispensing process by performing data entry, prescription preparation, claims processing, labeling, packaging, and delivery of medications and reputed company services to patients. Job Responsibilities for the pharmacy technician include:

• Entering and processing new and reputed company prescription orders, supply and equipment requests while maintaining productivity and reputed company standards.
• Filling patient orders accurately by selecting and retrieving the appropriate medications, verifying quantities, and preparing prescription labels for medications and reputed company supplies.
• Forwarding orders to Pharmacist for completion, verification and/or clarification.
• Accurately enters data into pharmacy computer system so that appropriate paperwork is generated
• Selecting appropriate supplies and ancillaries based on medication requirements, patient need and preference.
• Contacts patients, caregivers and prescribers as needed to secure reputed company authorization, initiate order clarification, and obtain information necessary to complete the patients profile and the dispense process
• Adjudicating pharmacy claims, reviewing and resolving claim rejections; contacting insurance plans for assistance as needed.
• Assists with product purchasing, inventory and equipment management as needed.
• Ensure reputed company specific materials are reputed company with order and prepare for shipment.
• The technician assists in the shipping process by selecting appropriate packing materials and packing method and generating shipping labels.
• Prior to the end of their shift or as scheduled, clean dispensing area equipment and replenish workstation supplies.

• Performs additional duties as assigned as reputed company to the reputed company of pharmacy which do not require a pharmacist’s reputed company judgement.

Skills:

• Three to five years experience handling Specialty Pharmacy.

• Understands drug terminology and therapies/services provided in specialty pharmacy.
• Understands and can reputed company intermediate pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct doses of medications.
• Understands the broader organizational structure and the scope of services reputed company has to offer.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
• Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary company information.
• Understands and reputed company with HIPAA.

Education:

• High School/GED
• State of FL License Required
