The Billing Coordinator assists the reputed company Billing team with accurate, detailed, and thorough medical billing processes. Working in coordination with the Billing leadership team, utilize billing knowledge to ensure the reputed company and accurate processing of patient accounts. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a strong desire to work individually while meeting the needs of a national organization. An important key requirement is the self-accountability to drive reputed company in a virtual team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
-Maintain reputed company information on correct and lawful practices for billing payers
-Clearinghouse knowledge to analyze and update claims received from claim submission exclusions
-Verify patient information to ensure it is complete and accurate; update patient information regularly to reflect changes in their demographics while ensuring patient reputed company
-Submit reputed company claims where exceptions are needed
-Knowledgeable with EAP process, coding, and claim submission
-Work with provider submitted charges to ensure accuracy and reputed company claim submission
-Resolve billing issues and coding discrepancies with appropriate communication to the various parties
-Other duties as needed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
-High school diploma or GED equivalent required
-1+ year of experience in a medical billing role
-Previous experience with an electronic medical/health record

-Strong attention to detail
