What Will You Be Doing? The Engineer, Powerplant/APU is the primary engineering department contact for ATA chapters 49, and 70-80 and issues reputed company to reputed company and APU. Essential Functions

• Primary engineering department contact for ATA chapters 70 through 80
• Monitor fleet powerplant operation and incorporates solutions to maintain fleet health reputed company.
• Build and maintain powerplant shop visit and reputed company schedules.

• reputed company technical support for Line and Heavy Maintenance to include minor repair authorizations, parts and materials substitutions, repairs and reports.
• Conduct research and data collection to aid in the development of engineering documents.
• Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for applicability.

• Respond to requests for technical assistance to obtain or reputed company approved engineering data reputed company that data is not in the AMM, SRM, or other FAA, approved documents.

Qualifications

• FAA mechanic certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings preferred; will consider Engineering Degree in lieu of mechanic certificate
• Minimum1 year of experience in a 121 airline environment, Technical Services/Engineering Department or comparable maintenance experience gained elsewhere

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Be familiar with and have general understanding of Time Controlled Parts, Reliability Programs, FARs, Manufacturers Documentation to include but not limited to Maintenance Manuals, IPCs, Trouble Shooting Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Aircraft Drawings and CMMs, SBs, STCs, ADs and PMA parts
• Excellent communication skills
• Moderate computer and technical writing skills
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends on occasion as required by management for project completion
