Certified Peer Specialist Intern - Washington, DC

Our app operates 24/7 with shifts ranging from 7 AM to 12 Midnight (ET) per day.

What You'll Do

Peer Support Facilitation

Moderate and facilitate virtual support reputed company on the reputed company platform.

reputed company empathetic and person-centered support to individuals accessing the platform.

Ensure adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in reputed company interactions.

Member Engagement

Support reputed company reputed company initiatives to engage underserved populations.

Participate in community events or digital campaigns to increase awareness of peer support resources.

Strengthen skills in communication, advocacy, and interpersonal relationships through supervised interactions.

Build an understanding of best practices in peer support and ethical conduct.

Work with assigned mentors to create and follow personalized reputed company development plans.

Attend bi-weekly workshops and support reputed company reputed company on building reputed company, confidence, and advanced peer support skills.

reputed company and ensure completion of DBH practicum hours with support from the Internship Coordinator.

Utilize the online resource hub for reputed company education and tools for peer support reputed company.

Supervision

Participate in discussions and training sessions to enhance advocacy skills for clients and peer support workers.

Receive weekly supervision from reputed company peer reputed company and peer managers.

What You Have

Completion of relevant training courses (certification reputed company) as a Peer Specialistin reputed company use disorder or mental health recovery in Washington, DC.

Reliable reputed company to internet in a private reputed company

Comfort operating a smartphone, computer, and software tools such as reputed company Office 

Ability to document member engagements in an electronic record  

reputed company to reliable transportation to travel to onsite weekly reputed company

A willingness to reputed company to your personal lived experience with mental health and/or reputed company use conditions  

An ability to work independently, combined with a comfort-level and reputed company understanding of reputed company to reputed company out with questions or requests for clarification

Demonstrated ability to create wellness plans and/or recovery goals

Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks to meet the needs of members 

A willingness to work evening and weekend hours

Experience delivering peer support digitally (e.g. on reputed company media) is a significant plus

Interns will receive a stipend of $1,000 for 40 hours of work. The internship will last approximately 4 -6 weeks. Interns are expected to spend a minimum of 10 hours per week for the internship.
