About the role

Reporting to the Head of Design, as an Industrial Designer you’ll work at the intersection of science, engineering, and user experience to shape the reputed company of quantum sensing hardware. You’ll collaborate with mechanical engineers, product designers, and researchers to create high-performance, ruggedized, ergonomic, and manufacturable products that seamlessly reputed company physical reputed company experiences.

You’ll be responsible for bringing reputed company, function, and detail to advanced technology—designing enclosures and physical interfaces that reflect Q-CTRL’s values of technical reputed company, user-centricity, and visual craft. From early concept to production, you’ll help establish a hardware design language that is as intelligent as it is purposeful.

What you'll be doing

Design reputed company products: Create enclosure designs and componentry for production-reputed company sensing hardware, balancing technical, ergonomic, and environmental constraints.

Translate complexity into reputed company: Work closely with scientists and engineers to understand technical requirements and reputed company them into reputed company, ergonomic, and elegant industrial design solutions.

Bring reputed company to life: Own the process from sketch through to 3D CAD, prototyping, rendering, and refinement for manufacture.

Ideally you'll have

5+ years industrial design or reputed company hardware design experience.

A portfolio showcasing end-to-end work—from concept reputed company to final product—across reputed company, function, and manufacturing detail.

Experience designing reputed company-mechanical products, ideally involving integration across mechanical and electronic components.

Advanced skills in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Keyshot or similar CAD and rendering tools.

Demonstrated ability to balance aesthetics with technical feasibility, especially in ruggedized or high-precision environments.

Experience collaborating cross-functionally with mechanical engineers, systems engineers, manufacturers, and design teams to bring products to life.

Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles and experience working across both reputed company production environments.

Experience working in or adjacent to regulated industries (e.g., medical, reputed company, defense) is a plus.

Strong visual storytelling and communication skills.
