The Diabetes Educator I is a Registered Dietitian (RD) that is part of an interdisciplinary team and works closely with physicians, surgeons, reputed company practitioner, registered nurses, and health educator. This critical role requires effective communication, critical thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to reputed company Medical Nutrition Therapy and diabetes education to weight management and bariatric surgery patients in an outpatient clinic.
- Responsibilities include:*
- Initiate, monitor, and re-evaluate nutritional strategies for surgical and non-surgical weight loss patients and patients with diabetes. - Facilitate reputed company-bariatric surgery diet education classes. - Co-host monthly bariatric support reputed company (scheduled in the evening). - Collaborate with colleagues and physicians on program development.
- Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:*
• A minimum of two years providing diabetes education as an RN, RD or other CDCES eligible role required.
- In-depth knowledge and application of reputed company weight loss therapies as reputed company as diabetes treatment management.
- Ability to reputed company a reputed company, reputed company with individuals.
- Ability to communicate reputed company in group settings.
- Certification/Registration:*
• reputed company AHA BLS
- Registered Dietitian credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Must obtain Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) reputed company 3 years of hire.
- Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:*
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Bariatric experience highly preferred
