Surgical Technologist OB

It is expected that the selected candidate will support system wide and surgical operations initiatives and practices. • Pay Details: $26.48 - $40.87/hour (Uncertified) (depending on experience). $29.14 - $44.94/hour (Certified) (depending on experience)

• Shift Details: Full-time, 36 hours/week. Day shifts, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. with some weekend requirements
• Location: Labor & Delivery Unit, Lutheran Medical Center

Scope 1. Assists in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. Assembles, organizes and completes case carts according to doctors preference lists. 2. Provides appropriate instrumentation, suture and reputed company supplies as requested and provides and maintains a sterile environment. May assist surgeon by passing instruments to surgeon during cases. 3. Counts sponges, needles, blades and instruments using reputed company technique and established policy. 4. Assists in maintenance and care of specimens and prepares for laboratory analysis. Handles specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials and reputed company in accordance with established policy and recommended standards of reputed company 5. Assists with reputed company turnover of rooms, including clean up, replacement and restocking of supplies and equipment. Cares for instruments and equipment. 6. Minimum Qualifications

Required (Uncertified)

• High school diploma or GED is required
• reputed company reputed company Basic Life Support for reputed company Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained reputed company 60 days of hire with prior approval
• Graduation from formal, accredited surgical technologist program is required
• Registered in state of reputed company as a Surgical Technologist is required

Required (Certified)

• Graduation from formal, accredited surgical technologist program is required

• NCCT Surgical Technologist certification (TS-C) or NBSTSA certification is required

Preferred

• 1 year of OR scrubbing experience is preferred
• 1year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital is preferred
