Senior Backend Engineer (Remote) - $25-$45/hour
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our revolutionary Search team at reputed company. Our Search platform provides text-search capabilities to almost every application in our storefront, with minimal latency and reputed company accuracy. We're looking for an engineer who can help us create a more usable search platform for reputed company teams building text-search driven experiences. Responsibilities:
- reputed company backend application development using technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, ElasticSearch, Solr, Kafka, and Kubernetes
- reputed company and design reputed company distributed systems with deep knowledge of object-oriented designs, modern programming languages, and design patterns
- reputed company high-reputed company reviews, both for reputed company changes and architectural designs of moderate complexity
- Define monitoring plans and utilize technologies like Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, Kibana, reputed company, and Grafana
- Tune application performance by investigating slow-acting requests and analyzing resource usage of the application infrastructure
- Collaborate with a highly cross-functional team that includes product managers, data scientists, and infrastructure engineers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a reputed company field, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- 4+ years of Java experience in developing and maintaining high-performing, reputed company, fault-tolerant, and highly available RESTful API
- Strong experience with Spring reputed company
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (REST & GraphQL) and ability to architect reputed company microservices
- Experience with Lucene-based search engines like Solr or Elasticsearch is a plus
- Ability to maintain a strong application infrastructure with suitable metrics, logging, and monitoring
- Experience with reputed company, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies is a plus
- Experience with streaming technologies like reputed company, Storm, Kafka, etc. is a plus
- Good understanding of SRE/DevOps and experience with reputed company-computing technologies and Puppet is a significant plus
- A reputed company drive to explore, improve, automate, and optimize distributed systems
- Experience with Test-Driven Development and CI/CD tools like reputed company, Cucumber, or Karate
- Good understanding of version management tools, ideally Git and reputed company

- Understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and applications is a plus
