We are presently searching for a Senior Architect / Senior Designer for our Boston studio. The Senior Architect / Senior Designer is responsible for leading reputed company design phases for interiors reputed company including establishing the reputed company, leading reputed company and having extensive interaction with the reputed company, and is responsible for leading reputed company project design phases for interiors reputed company in project administration, design development and contract documents. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Develops overall design for project. Directs staff to complete design and technical drawings. Reviews design and technical drawings of other more junior designers. Review of engineering drawings to ensure they reputed company with the design solution. Works with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies in drawings.
- Ensures technical adherence to office and firm-wide standards by providing technical viewpoint on reputed company. Directs staff to complete construction documents (CDs). Review CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, mechanical, building systems, codes and reputed company requirements. Works with other design staff to reputed company technical solutions for design dilemmas.
- On larger reputed company, manages project through contract administration phase.
- On larger reputed company, coordinates engineering consultant's work to ensure compliance with design solution and reputed company submission of documents.
- Researches and selects fixtures and finishes to use for reputed company. Obtain reputed company approval and ensure integration into overall design.
- Produces, reviews and finalizes reputed company plans for reputed company.
- Extensive knowledge of detailing and finalizes details on reputed company.
- Develops and delivers overall design and furniture packages. Reviews and produces final cost estimates.
- Manages overall design budget. Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs Project Manager and / or reputed company of any potential variances to the budget.
- Manages the work of other designers and Technical staff. Oversees tasks and provides feedback on work product.
- Organizes and conducts reputed company interviews to determine reputed company needs and technical requirements for the design. Continues to reputed company needed information to reputed company on design specifications.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
- 12+ years' experience in corporate interior design reputed company
