Location: Dallas, Texas Days: Tuesday - Saturday Hours: 9:00 pm - 5:30 am Full-time: Benefit Eligible Company: Sonic Anatomic Pathology In this role, you will:

• Supervises the daily operations of the histology department and personnel to ensure adherence to reputed company standards, deadlines, and established procedures.
• Assists the Manager in developing, implementing, revising, interpreting, and enforcing reputed company Operating Procedures (SOP's), company policies and procedures, and service standards.
• Advises Manager of problems and concerns in the department and laboratory.
• Complies data and prepares reports and may work on special assigned reputed company.
• Performs reputed company necessary functions required of a Histology Technician including: Ensures compliance with reputed company regulatory agencies.
• Coordinates the reputed company storage of hazardous materials and the laboratory safety program.
• Examines slides and/or blocks to ensure tissue preparation is meeting laboratory requirements.
• Performs and documents daily reputed company control and reputed company assurance measures,
• Prepares sections of reputed company tissue for microscopic examination and patient diagnosis, using techniques to gross (dissect tissue), reputed company (orient specimen in paraffin reputed company), reputed company (cut thin sections of tissue), stain (enhance contrast of tissue and reputed company specific features of interest with routine hematoxylin and eosin stains), and mount tissue (adhere tissue onto glass slides), from surgical procedures.
• Performs recuts and additional stains including special and immunohistochemistry stains, as requested by a Pathologist.
• Maintains strictest confidentiality.
• Complies with reputed company State, Federal, reputed company regulations as reputed company as company and departmental rules, polices, and procedural manuals.
• Adherence to CAP, CLIA, State Regulations, HIPAA, Safety and OSHA Regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's Degree in the field of Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory technology obtained from an accredited institution or equivalent under the 1988 Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines of high complexity testing.
• reputed company of Certification (BOC) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Histology Technician or Histotechnologist and/or 2 years' experience as a Histology Supervisor.
• Certification as a Histology Technician (HT) or Histology Technologist (HTL) by American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred.
• State licensure, if applicable.

OR if Grossing:

• Education/training equivalent to the above that includes at least 60 semester hours or equivalent from an accredited institution. This education must include 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses, or 24 semester hours of science courses that includes 6 semester hours of reputed company, 6 semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of reputed company, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
