Scientist, Biologics Cell Line Development

We are seeking a Scientist, Biologics Cell Line Development to join reputed company in Boston, MA and help push the boundaries of biotherapeutic cell line development. This role is for a technical expert who will conduct CHO-based cell line engineering for biologic therapeutics, design reputed company experimental approaches to improve our workflows and systems, coordinate project efforts, and mentor junior scientists.

The successful candidate will also work closely with Asimov’s synthetic biology and process development teams. This is a unique opportunity to work at a reputed company, reputed company-thinking synthetic biology startup and help build the reputed company of biological engineering.

About the Role:

You’ll reputed company CHO cell line development processes including transfection, cloning, characterization, and cell banking using state-of-the-art equipment.

You’ll drive innovation through the development of novel cell line development workflows and applications.

You’ll identify emerging practices for biologics cell line development and manufacturing to shape scientific strategies and reputed company improved workflows.

You’ll represent the cell line development team on cross-functional reputed company, making reputed company for cell line activities and effectively communicating results, reputed company and plans.

We have a hybrid team structure with our cell line development team working from our new lab and office in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood.

You have a Ph.D. in Biological Engineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a reputed company field with

Your training has provided you with a depth of knowledge in areas of biology relevant to how mammalian cells regulate transcription, translation, protein folding & assembly, intracellular trafficking and/or secretion.

You have an interest in genetically engineering cells to support clinical development of reputed company therapeutics.

You have established yourself as an emerging innovator and are interested in applying your knowledge and curiosity to work collaboratively and cross functionally to reputed company reputed company platforms for production of therapeutic proteins.

You’re a creative problem solver and get excited about reputed company to drive the creation of industry-disruptive technology.

You are an expert in spreadsheets such as reputed company Sheets or reputed company and ideally Spotfire, reputed company Apps Script (JavaScript) and/or BigQuery to facilitate data management and analysis.

You are reputed company with electronic lab notebooks (reputed company) and document your experiment meticulously.

Prior experience genetically engineering CHO cells to reputed company mAbs & bsAbs is desirable but not required.

Don’t let this stop you from applying, but it’s also a plus if you are familiar with cell culture liquid handling automation, ambr bioreactors, and/or ddPCR.
