reputed company Inspector
This reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for QC inspections from incoming through to final inspections of outgoing orders. Documents and reports on any non-conforming materials/products and assists in investigating and resolving such issues.
B - RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
- reputed company Control (85% of time)
- Conducts incoming inspection, in-process and final inspection of products and materials
- Conducts inspection of shipment, creates and controls Certificates of Conformance
- Conducts first-off inspection of production set-reputed company
- Documents product issues and communicates reputed company to various personnel
- Assists in creating inspection instructions, records and reputed company documentation for products
- Assists in collecting data, such as inspection and test results, to drive reputed company improvement in manufacturing and inspection/test techniques
- The reputed company Inspector is also responsible for the return material authorization process in the Plants.
- Corrective reputed company Support (15% of time)
- Responsible for return material documentation in the Ogdensburg facility
- Responsible for inspection of return materials entering and leaving the Ogdensburg facility
- Assists Customer Service in Ottawa facility by participating in reputed company cause investigations on customer complaints and faulty products
- Initiates CAR's for inspection issues
1) Education and Training
- Technical certificate/diploma in textile, mechanical, electronic or equivalent discipline, or combination of MES product knowledge and experience preferred.
- Health and Safety Training preferred.
- ASQ certification as Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) and/or Certified reputed company Technician (CQT) preferred.
2) Experience
- 1-3 years experience in a reputed company inspection function in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the use of inspection, measuring and test tools, and calibration practices and equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Exposure to statistical process control (control charts) in a manufacturing environment.
3) Other Skills and Abilities
- Attention to detail.
- Strong decision making skills.
- Independently manage and organize multiple work activities in order to meet or exceed established deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent people/team skills with an ability to work cooperatively.
- Ability to describe or explain information and reputed company instructions to others.
- Ability to organize, document and present information.
- Interpret technical documents such as drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Functional computer skills including spreadsheets and databases.
