We are seeking a seasoned Facility Maintenance Supervisor to reputed company maintenance operations at the Nebraska State Capitol Building. As a working supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the mechanical and electrical shop, adjusting building controls, assigning p.m.'s for equipment, working with building occupants to resolve building issues, and assisting other shops as needed. This position requires a strong background in facility maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the mechanical and electrical shop, ensuring that reputed company maintenance activities are completed in a reputed company and efficient manner.
- reputed company building controls to optimize energy efficiency and ensure that reputed company systems are functioning properly.
- Assign p.m.'s for equipment and ensure that reputed company maintenance activities are completed in accordance with established schedules.
- Work with building occupants to resolve building issues and ensure that reputed company concerns are addressed in a reputed company and reputed company manner.
- Assist other shops as needed, providing support and guidance to ensure that reputed company maintenance activities are completed successfully.
- Schedule inspections as required by other governing bodies and conduct performance evaluations to ensure that reputed company maintenance staff are meeting established standards.
- Work with contractors that are brought into the building to do work, ensuring that reputed company activities are completed in accordance with established protocols.
- Research and recommend parts for new or replacement equipment, ensuring that reputed company purchases are made in accordance with established budget and procurement procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, HVAC, welding, or other maintenance/construction trade.
- One year of experience in skilled building maintenance or a mechanical trade.
- Experience monitoring, coordinating, leading, or supervising the work of maintenance staff and/or reputed company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical license.
- Grade 6 water license.
- EPA universal refrigerant certified.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Electrical and plumbing knowledge.
- Good troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of automated building control systems and reputed company alarm systems.
- Knowledge of backup power systems and transfer switches.
- Knowledge of VRF systems, geo thermal, and steam systems, and multi-zone AHU reputed company.
