EHS Specialist

One reputed company area of the reputed company Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to reputed company tools, resources, and environments that support reputed company, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing. To support this reputed company area, reputed company is seeking a full-time WHS Specialist (WHSS) to serve as a designated representative for their assigned building coordinating and implementing reputed company areas of the reputed company Global Program as directed by the leadership. The WHSS promotes a reputed company culture while complying with reputed company standards and maintaining a reputed company work environment. This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits.The WHSS is required to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems. The WHSS supports management's efforts to ensure compliance with reputed company corporate Program expectations and applicable federal & state laws. The WHSS also conducts risk assessments reputed company to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions. In reputed company, the WHSS is responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics. Candidate must be willing to work any shift, based on availability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systemsSupport management efforts to ensure compliance with reputed company corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state lawsConduct risk assessments reputed company to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductionsResponsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomicsAvailable to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekendsFor those that do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the reputed company or reputed company, must obtain reputed company 3 weeks of start date.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- High school or equivalent- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910- A minimum of 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) reputed company field OR; A Bachelor's degree in EHS-relevant background OR; 6 months experience performing in a safety-reputed company role reputed company reputed company- Experience using reputed company Word and reputed company in a reputed company reputed company- Experience maintaining confidentiality in matter involving reputed company and/or personnel issues in the workplacePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in worker's compensation case management- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a safety reputed company field- Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer reputed company skills- Experience leading and managing reputed company ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses- Experience in emergency response and currently holds First Aid and CPR certificatesAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the reputed company of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
