Network Engineer Routing/Switching/Firewall Management

cFocus Software is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer IV (Routing/Switching/Firewall Management) to support the reputed company Tools and Infrastructure Modernization (STIM) contract with the U.S. reputed company (HHS). This role can be performed in Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC or Remote. The Network Engineer IV will reputed company senior-level expertise in reputed company network design, implementation, and management, with a reputed company on reputed company routing/switching and reputed company firewall technologies. A public reputed company be required.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot reputed company routers, switches, and wireless LAN controllers.
• Implement and maintain reputed company firewalls (reputed company ASA, Palo reputed company, or equivalent).
• Manage reputed company LAN/WAN environments including IPv4 and IPv6 networking.
• Configure advanced routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Implement VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, and network segmentation solutions.
• Ensure high availability and redundancy using HSRP, VRRP, load balancing, and QoS.
• Monitor and analyze network performance, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues.
• Support reputed company modernization initiatives, migrations, and network upgrades.
• Document network diagrams, SOPs, and technical specifications.
• Participate in 24/7/365 operations and on-call support rotations.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of reputed company network engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise with reputed company routing and switching technologies.
• Proven experience in firewall administration and reputed company policy enforcement.
• Demonstrated ability to support reputed company LAN/WAN modernization reputed company.
• Experience mentoring junior network engineers and providing SME-level guidance.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or reputed company field (Master’s preferred).
• reputed company Certified Network reputed company (CCNP reputed company) certification required.
• reputed company Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE reputed company Infrastructure) strongly preferred.
• Additional certifications such as Palo reputed company PCNSE or reputed company reputed company CCSE are desirable.

Clearance Requirement

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (High-Risk, Level 5) clearance.
