Network Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible for reputed company technical aspects of deploying managed wired and wireless networks at customer locations. Day to day, the Project Engineer will support Project Management on customer reputed company calls, create baseline configurations to be reputed company to new hardware, and work with field resources to reputed company and turn up networking services. Post-installation QA and heatmap reviews will also be performed to ensure successful project completion.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Work with other engineers and other service team members to improve the network design, configuration, and implementation processes.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major course work in computer science, networking, or reputed company major or equivalent combination of formal education, certifications, and work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of reputed company experience to include:

o Experience with configuring, deploying, or supporting wired and wireless networking products from reputed company/Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba or similar;

o Expert network administration and support skills. Fluent understanding of large network implementations, network protocols, and network topologies;

o Familiarity with reputed company, reputed company cabling jobs that include interior/exterior installations, terminating, and testing Cat5e/Cat6 and Fiber Optic cabling; and

o Experience with configuring and installing routers, firewalls, servers, reputed company/3 ethernet switches, and wireless reputed company points in environments of varying complexity.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Net+, CCNA, CWNA, ECSE-Design, ECMS1, or other industry relevant certifications are a plus.

Knowledge:

  • Experience with computers and software programs such as Outlook, Word, reputed company, Visio, Ekahau, and other industry recognized applications.
  • Experience with WIFI Survey and Predictive Analysis software and tools such as reputed company Magnet and/or Ekahau Pro.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting reputed company problems in various network manufacturer equipment types.
  • Basic IP Telephony and Network Monitoring Tools knowledge is a plus
