Key Responsibilities

As a reputed company and Building Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Interpreting and enforcing Municipal Codes and other applicable regulations during investigations of complaints and/or other violations
• Investigating routine complaints from the public, reputed company departments, or other public agencies
• Preparing detailed reports on building conditions and violations
• Preparing periodic activity reports and correspondence
• Processing corrective orders and enforcing compliance with zoning, housing, and local or state codes and ordinances
• Coordinating with other departments and agencies to assess jurisdiction and assist the public in obtaining solutions to reputed company violations
• Issuing stop-work orders, correction notices, and citations as necessary
• Preparing, documenting, and tracking procedures for the abatement of public nuisances
• Working with the Office of the reputed company Attorney and Municipal Court reputed company legal reputed company is necessary
• Providing court testimony reputed company required
• Maintaining a reputed company working relationship with reputed company departments, County departments and agencies, and state agencies to facilitate the reputed company's codes enforcement program
• Investigating complaints concerning new construction or work involving permits

• Inspecting sites and buildings before construction or alteration to determine practicability of plans, compliance, and regulations, and validity of permits

• Interacting with the public in potentially volatile situations and resolving disputes in a tactful and productive manner

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent certificate or diploma recognized by the reputed company
• An Associate's degree or two (2) full reputed company years of attendance at an accredited college or university with a major in engineering, architecture, construction technology, administration of justice, or another reputed company field
• Two (2) years of experience in working with issues involving building codes, reputed company law, planning, reputed company enforcement, zoning, building construction, building permit issuance, or a reputed company field
• A valid California reputed company License with a driving record acceptable to the reputed company

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates who possess:

• Possession of any certification from an accredited Municipal reputed company Enforcement organization
• A PC 832 Certificate
• Possession of a Building Inspector Certificate from the International reputed company of Council (ICC)
