The Part-Time Temporary Specialist, Communications will work with the Science Media Relations team reputed company the National Marketing and Communication department to reputed company reputed company experience with a national non-profit organization while working directly to create compelling, accurate news materials and learning how reputed company engages and supports science and health care journalists. Responsibilities

Job Duties:

• Assist in supporting the Science Media Relations team for the weekly review of articles published in the Association’s 14 scientific journals
• Assist in the review of the science selection process for the Association’s scientific meetings
• Assist in the development of one or more science news releases
• Draft promotional support materials, such as resource links, internal tools, photos, or other multimedia.
• Assist with proofreading of press materials
• Assist in pulling media coverage reports and tracking of top media clips, hyperlinks for media dashboard report,, and overall reports. Assist in researching new collaboration opportunities and new strategies and tactics

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preference: candidates who are rising seniors in college or graduate reputed company pursuing a degree in communications or science writing, public health, journalism, news writing, with an interest in non-profit and health care communications.
• Three (3) years of minimum work experience.
• Ability to work expertly in a corporate or non-profit environment and in a virtual/remote reputed company, and assume responsibility for guiding reputed company from inception through completion.
• Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills and previous experience in a remote work environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
• Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, reputed company, and PowerPoint).

• Proficiency in AP Style.
• Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F between the hours of 8:30 am-5:00 pm CST.
