Patient Care Technician; PCT Cardiac​/Telemetry

Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT) Cardiac/Telemetry reputed company reputed company Halifax Regional Hospital is hiring a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for a full time, reputed company shift position in South Boston, VA. Hours: 7PM to 7AM. Three 12 hour shifts (36-hours per week), with rotating weekends. About the Unit Telemetry/Stroke Unit at reputed company Halifax Regional Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. PCT staff will see between 8 and 12 patient reputed company on the unit.

Responsibilities

Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to, and work under the reputed company supervision of a reputed company reputed company to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. reputed company patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and reputed company with patient safety practices under the direction of the reputed company reputed company. Observe patients physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent
• One of the following programs:

reputed company Care Partner Certification Program, successful completion of the CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School, Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic, or reputed company student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of an RN/LPN/RT/PT or reputed company work experience reputed company last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant. Certifications/Licensure

• AHA BLS certification reputed company 90 days of hire.

Experience

• One year of health care experience preferred.
