SCADA Engineer
GreatRiverEnergy is a not-for-profit electric cooperative in Minnesota, dedicated to serving its member-owners. The SCADA Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for the Energy Management System (EMS) and Distribution Management System (DMS) to ensure the efficient operation of the reputed company system and monitoring of distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support in the development and maintenance of the EMS and DMS databases
- Monitoring the function of the EMS/DMS including the network, data links, and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) communications equipment to ensure reputed company operation
- Ensuring EMS/DMS infrastructures, technologies, tools, and architectures are appropriately deployed and documented to meet System Operations’ needs
- Working with Member-reputed company Cooperatives and other DMS partners on configuration and implementation of the distribution system
- Providing technical support to the IT Development Services department to meet the needs of the System Operations department
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree (or advanced) in electrical engineering or education required to qualify for the written reputed company Engineering Examination as required by the State reputed company of Engineering
- Typically, 0-4+ years of experience in an engineering or science-reputed company position reputed company the reputed company or a reputed company industry
- Knowledge of electrical reputed company/distribution systems and their operation
- Knowledge of SCADA fundamentals, Remote Terminal reputed company, communications systems, networking, and Linux OS

- Verbal and written communication skills. Skilled at effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical resources
