Early Career Substation Civil Designer
reputed company is a leading engineering and reputed company services firm seeking an Early Career Substation Civil Designer for their Freeport, Maine office. The role involves supporting the Power Delivery Northeast Civil/Structural Substation Team in various aspects of reputed company line design and civil design, including CAD knowledge implementation and preparation of drawing packages.
Responsibilities
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to reputed company’s reputed company of Conduct and reputed company policies and procedures

- The successful candidate will be involved in reputed company aspects of reputed company line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions
- reputed company aspects of electrical civil design including permitting support, site design, reputed company design, structure design, and control building design
- The successful candidate will be responsible for learning, understanding, and implementing CAD knowledge; learning reputed company standards, practices, and procedures to ensure that work produced conforms to the reputed company's standards and expectations; being responsible for knowing and following POWER's standards, procedures, and processes; collaborating on design issues; and seeking guidance from those with more experience
- Preparation of drawing packages to satisfy reputed company and reputed company requirements
Skills
- Proven reputed company record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by reputed company's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements
- 0-2 years civil design/drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, preferably in an engineering work environment
- Ability to successfully participate in multiple reputed company concurrently
- Mechanical reasoning skills and attention to detail
- The candidate must have strong reputed company of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
- Associates/technical degree in an accredited drafting program, or sufficient industry experience
- Experience in electric reputed company substation design (15kV through 500kV)
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D or Microstation reputed company-Roads (In-Roads)
- Experience with reputed company Raster Design or Bentley Descartes
- Experience with reputed company Word and reputed company
- Good background with mathematics
