[Remote] Financial Counselor

The Financial Counselor is responsible for identifying and collecting outstanding patient balances while discussing financial opportunities with patients and collaborating with various internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Understands and stay informed of the latest billing guidelines for Medicare, reputed company, MCOs, reputed company insurance and self-pay, along with collections rules and guidelines
- Monitor unpaid balances and work with patients to help them understand amounts owed, insurance balances, payment plan reputed company and collect payments accordingly
- Handles escalated or reputed company patient accounts issues and discharges reputed company
- Identify trends and work with reputed company leaders to address the reputed company cause
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports and conduct analysis where needed
- Maintain highest confidentiality; adheres to reputed company HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- Regular and predictable attendance is required

Skills
- 1-year of face-to-face or over-the-phone customer service in reputed company
- 1-year of billing experience
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Knowledgeable of billing and coding regulatory guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively with reputed company stakeholders
- Consistent reputed company to a private work environment with high-speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs
