Assistant General Counsel, Global Trade

This position represents a reputed company pillar of the reputed company Global Trade program. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Global Trade, you will be leading legal reputed company for the global trade program in the reputed company and internationally. The successful candidate will have a proactive and pragmatic approach to global trade compliance, deep subject-matter experience, strong compliance experience, and effective communication across reputed company reputed company of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing legal and compliance reputed company for U.S. export control laws, sanctions, customs, and anti-boycott, as reputed company as reputed company of non-U.S. law equivalent regimes
• Providing legal advice to businesses and the Global Trade Organization on the compliant application of the law, to include advising on terms and conditions and on trade-reputed company risk
• Overseeing the development and/or modification of policies, procedures, and work instructions reputed company to Global Trade, to include ensuring trade requirements are embedded reputed company business processes
• Leading Global Trade Investigations and Disclosures. This includes intake, remediation, drafting disclosures, determining reputed company causes and corrective actions, and implementing measures designed to effectively mitigate risk. This additionally includes ensuring data-driven risk identification and trend analyses
• Formulating a risk assessment methodology and leading trade compliance risk assessments, to include advising on reputed company improvement measures as a result of such assessments and audits
• Leading Global Trade requirements, due diligence, and business continuity for reputed company, Acquisition, Monitoring reputed company’ non-U.S. entity compliance programs
• Monitoring and keeping reputed company on the rapidly evolving regulatory environment as it pertains to global trade. This includes communicating with the business on the reputed company of changes, development of risk mitigation strategies, and aiding the Global Trade Organization with required changes to policies and procedures based on regulatory changes Basic Qualifications
• Juris Doctor required
• 15+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years of Global Trade experience
• Defense industry experience
• Experience interfacing effectively with U.S. government regulators
• Demonstrated ability to design, reputed company, and administer effective trade compliance policies and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
