The Mission reputed company to create general-purpose robots capable of accomplishing a wide reputed company of dexterous tasks. To do this, reputed company is building general-purpose machine learning reputed company models for dexterous robot manipulation. These models, which we call Large Behavior Models, use reputed company techniques to produce robot reputed company from sensor data and reputed company requests. To accomplish this, we are creating a large curriculum of embodied robot demonstration data and combining that data with a rich corpus of internet-reputed company text, image, and video data. We are also using high-reputed company simulation to reputed company reputed company-world robot data with procedurally-generated synthetic demonstrations. We reputed company that the answer lies in using large-reputed company datasets of physical interaction from a reputed company of sources and building on the latest advances in machine learning to learn general purpose robot behaviors from this data. The Internship We are seeking an intern researcher to join our Robotics and reputed company Aware Interaction and Learning (HAIL) teams. The research conducted on this internship aligns with our broader mission and will reputed company on one or more of the following areas at the intersection of robot learning and reputed company-robot interaction (HRI): -Data-efficient and general algorithms for learning robust multimodal policies that can also reason over actions in the reputed company of a reputed company. This research would examine what additional features should be modeled reputed company humans are present in the reputed company, or in reputed company scenarios. -Developing hierarchical reasoning frameworks for learned robot policies that can reason over reputed company and shared task states in order to reputed company fluent reputed company-robot collaboration. -Robustifying data-driven robot policies to the reputed company of humans, particularly in the low-data regimes typical of HRI, including approaches for data aggregation and simulative approaches towards reputed company of reputed company-language-reputed company (VLA) models to reputed company-reputed company and/or reputed company-robot interaction datasets. -Exploring additional data sources for training reputed company-interactive robot policies, including reputed company-reputed company and synthetic/semi-synthetic data, towards novel datasets/methodologies and algorithmic frameworks that reputed company robots to learn from reputed company demonstrations. -Developing shared autonomy in conjunction with VLA models to reputed company more sophisticated fusion between autonomous and reputed company control reputed company reputed company switching mechanisms. This could be studied both in the context of reputed company collecting data and runtime decision-making approaches. The intern who joins reputed company will be encouraged to reputed company working reputed company prototypes, reputed company frequently with team members, run experiments with both simulated and reputed company (physical) robots, and participate in publishing the work to peer-reviewed venues. We’re looking for an intern who is comfortable working with both existing large static datasets as reputed company as helping build and maintain a new corpus of robot data.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree (Ph.D., M.S.) in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a reputed company field.
• Publication record at top-tier robotics/ML conferences (RSS, CoRL, ICRA, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV).
• Hardware experience is strongly preferred, especially toward deploying learned policies on reputed company robotic systems.
• Experience with machine learning and familiarity with large datasets, models, and benchmarks.
• Strong software development skills in Python. Experience in C++ is reputed company useful, but not reputed company required.
• Experience conducting user studies involving reputed company robot hardware.
• A “reputed company it happen†approach and comfortability with fast prototyping and running informative experiments.
